Prayer requests

These requests have been submitted by people in our church and beyond, asking us as a body to pray for them (updated weekly). Please pray for each individually.

Public Prayers of Expressions Church:

• Eric M. - For favorable biopsy results. 
• Rose G. - Please keep our grandson & his wife in prayer (Dennis & Haley) for a healthy pregnancy for mom and baby. They are in the hospital right now trying to prevent premature labor at 29 weeks. Also prayers for myself and family grieving sudden loss of my husband Bob. 

• Jordan G. - Pray that my dad (Robert) is healed from liver cirrhosis, stays sober, and for his salvation. Also for his girlfriend (Paula) to reconnect with her kids and finds help that she needs.
• Anna P. - Prayers for my mom (Stella) who had a major blockage in her artery and stint surgery, and for her recovery. 
• Corrina G. - PRAISE update! Thanks be to God for this blessing of a kidney transplant and successful surgery on 9/18! Continued prayers for Corrina in recovery ahead, and for her family.
• Tristan G. - Pray for my cousin Josiah, a police officer in Texas was on patrol and hit by a drunk driver (9/18). Please pray for his recovery and surgeries needed, for financial assistance, as well as for his wife (Becca) and their 3 young kids. 
• Melinda M. - Prayers for my mom (Judy) who fell this week (9/11) and losing confidence in her independence. 
• Oscar L. - Prayers for two of my friends (Teofilo Gomez and Michael Lopez) who each lost their mothers recently. Please keep both families in prayer in this difficult time.
• Sherly L. - Prayers over my grandmother who has been in the hospital and will be transferred to a nursing home for full time care. Prayers over my Mom who has been spending nights with her. 
• Anna P. - They have found pancreatic cancer in my Nana (grandmother), she is 98 years and wants them to do the surgery to remove it. Prayers that it hasn't spread and for healing.
• Fernando - Please continue to pray for recovery in a detox facility. We ask for God to remind him of His love, mercy, and for Fernando to be a light to those around him. 
• Jannette H. - Peter is in ICU he is paralyzed from the neck down hoping he has a speedy recovery and can't eat on his own he is a single dad
• Thelma - Prayers for both her parents, and juggling her role as a full-time caregiver while working.
• Melinda M. - Continued wisdom for divorce case and moving it forward. Trusting in God's timing and plan.
• Andy T. - Prayers for baby Daniel (3) and his family navigating cancer.
• For all the anonymous requests submitted weekly.

• For Expressions Church:
  • For this transition into Friends Southwest - wisdom, clarity, and discernment to fill our leaders in alignment with God's will and vision.
  • For the transition to becoming the main tenants on this campus! Lord thank you for this blessing! We pray for funds and You to lead our way and direct our steps. 
  • Please pray over our leadership, staff, serve teams, and volunteers. Lord we want to be united as church to live with Jesus and love like Jesus.

• For Our Community & World:
  • Remembering 9/11 - Lord we pray for all those who were impacted, and continue to be to this day. We pray for those grieving, for peace, and unity as humanity. 
  • For the homelessness crisis in our nation, and specifically LA County region.
  • For the lost, and those who don't know You Jesus.
  • For the innocent - all those impacted by famine, trafficking, greed, mass-shootings, terror, etc. Lord be near to the brokenhearted and protect those crushed in spirit. Rise up Your church for change. 
  • For countries in conflict - that ceasefires and resolutions of peace to be brought forth, and for all the communities impacted by the consequences of others.  Lord have mercy and let Your justice flow like rivers.
  • For the persecuted church! Lord, we ask for your hedge of protection around our brothers & sisters in Christ where worshipping You is illegal. We pray for Your Holy Spirit to move in these communities and countries. 

Lord, thank you for hearing our prayers. Let Your will be done. AMEN.
