Prayer requests

These requests have been submitted by people in our church and beyond, asking us as a body to pray for them (updated weekly). Please pray for each individually.

Public Prayers of Expressions Church:

• For the anonymous prayer requests submitted weekly. Lord - You see and know these exact needs and those impacted. Please continue to surround each with Your love, clarity, and strength.  
• Rose G. - Please keep our grandson & his wife in prayer (Dennis & Haley) for a healthy pregnancy for mom and baby. This is their 3rd pregnancy with the first 2 ending in loss. 
• Rose G. - Please pray for our grandchildren who don't know the Lord, and for God to continue reaching them and softening hearts. 
• David P. - Prayers for our family, grieving the sudden loss of my brother after a stage 4 cancer diagnosis and heart attack (Kenny).
• Jannette H. - My friend's mom (Guillernina Caudillo) who is going through chemotherapy.
• Thelma - Prayers for both her parents, and juggling her role as a full-time caregiver while working.
• Melinda M. - Continued wisdom for divorce case and moving it forward. Trusting in God's timing and plan.
• Andy T. - Prayers for baby Daniel (3) and his family navigating cancer. 
• Gootch - Praise! Heart surgery went well.
• Connie & John S. - Continued prayers for healing and provisions
• Jennifer S. - Received a lupus diagnosis, please pray for God's strength, clarity, peace to fill her.
• Tonita F. - My sister passed away from cancer. Prayer for our family especially her husband Larry and her children.
• Toan T. - I just want to pray for anyone who ever been in pain, who have been hurt through trauma & facing tough times. 
• Grant H. - Recovering from broken hip and surgery - please pray for his care and healing.
• Lindsey T. - For my sister and brother-in-law. Praise they have returned to CA safely, and Lord we ask You to direct their steps and lead them to jobs that serve Your kingdom.

• Martin Family – continued prayers over them and daughter Teresa (Bob, Cindy, Barbi)

• For Expressions Church:
  • For this transition into Friends Southwest - wisdom, clarity, and discernment to fill our leaders. For any questions people have - to be welcomed and discussed openly. For God's will to still be done here as it is in heaven. 
  • For the transition to becoming the main tenants on this campus! Lord thank you for this blessing! We pray for funds and You to lead our way and direct our steps - to continue to grow this campus, make it safe and accessible, and welcoming for all who use this space. We ask for Your continued wisdom and discernment to fill our community.
  • Please pray over our leadership, staff, serve teams, and volunteers. Lord we want to be united as church to live with Jesus and love like Jesus.

• For Our Community & World:
  • For Venezuela, Japan, and all those impacted by the devastating earthquakes. 
  • For Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and all those impacted by devastating flash floods. 
  • For families impacted by ICE.
  • For the homelessness crisis in our nation, and specifically LA County region.
  • For national leadership, wisdom, and justice to reign in our county, country, and courts - Lord we pray for unity over division in our nation and to love our neighbors like You first loved us.
  • For the innocent - all those impacted by famine, trafficking, greed, mass-shootings, terror, etc. Lord be near to the brokenhearted and protect those crushed in spirit. Rise up Your church for change. 
  • For countries in conflict - that ceasefires and resolutions of peace to be brought forth, and for all the communities impacted by the consequences of others.  Lord have mercy and let Your justice flow like rivers.
  • For the persecuted church! Lord, we ask for your hedge of protection around our brothers & sisters in Christ where worshipping You is illegal. We pray for Your Holy Spirit to move in these communities and countries. 

Lord, thank you for hearing our prayers. Let Your will be done. AMEN.
